Our Pets
Past pets that are sadly no longer with us
Princess
Princess was a sweet little cat who loved our dogs and playing with tap water. She disappeared about 6 years ago at 1 year of age from our new house after getting a fright with visitors. Reports and photographs led us to believe she was picked up and taken to another home in the Waikato where she is hopefully living a very happy life. Deenie
Alias “Fat Cat”. He started life as a tiny, skinny stray who disappeared after every feed and was given the name “Houdini” (Deenie for short). Once he moved in, the tiny skinny cat disappeared and transformed into a large very laid back individual. He was about 13 years old when he passed away in 2012. |
Shadow
Shadow was another laid back cat who we once called a ballerina, but in latter years he filled out considerably and didn’t look as good in a tutu. He was everyone’s friend and made people welcome by sitting on their knee even if they didn’t like cats! He passed away aged 15 years in September 2018. Ebony
Ebony was found as a wild six week old kitten and was always the feistiest of the cats. Was usually very jealous of any new cat or dog addition and displayed this by going and living outside for a while until she got over her miff. Was very loving to the male member of the household but used to grab his arm affectionately with paws, claws and teeth. She passed away in November 2017 at the age of 11 years. |
